Kuvalähde Oy
Just as they came of age, Valtteri and Konsta founded their first company, Kuvalähde. That's where both the business and learning to be entrepreneurs began.
We shoot where the production actually has to work.

Over five years we've done all kinds of productions for different fields, but especially for industry, the tactical sector, outdoor brands and DMC companies.
In that time we learned what really matters in these fields, what clients value and where our skills create the most value. A successful production doesn't come from filming alone. It comes from planning, collaboration and the ability to perform even when conditions change.
We often shoot in environments where filming can't stop the client's everyday operations. On production lines, in changing weather and in terrain where plans have to be adapted.
For us that means the client is never left alone. We tell you where things stand, what happens next and what we need for the production to succeed. We spar, we suggest and we say honestly if one option works better than another. And once we agree on something, we stick to it.

Building a portfolio, skills and our own gear in Finland. Photography, videography, drone work and editing were honed in real productions. During these years, both completed the Finnish Defence Forces' demanding Combat Camera training.
A month across Central Europe. A new place and new work every day: industrial, outdoor and DMC productions in several countries. A hard but rewarding trip, just the three of us.
A first encounter with arctic conditions in Finland, Sweden and Norway. Dark days and hard frost challenged the crew.
We wanted a more international brand that represents our field, so we could serve our clients even better.
Entrepreneurship has taught us a lot, but above all that our team pulls in the same direction.
When there are two of you, everything has to work between you. We trust each other completely, and it shows in the work.
We do this for bigger reasons than money or visibility: out of a desire to build something of our own and do it well. And we shoot the fields that interest us outside work too, not just as client segments.

Industrial shoots have to be planned on the production's terms. Our job is to understand the spaces, the safety and the work stages before the cameras come out.

A field we have strong experience in. Every production is still new, though, so we need to understand the operating environment, the gear and the safety before content can be made.

Outdoors, the environment can change fast and conditions determine a lot. That's why we need to know what the gear, the plan and the production team can actually handle.

When accommodation, food and activities come together, you have to understand everything a destination can offer the guest. The content is built around what the brand represents and the kind of experience you want to show.

Valtteri's area is sales, client relationships and the production as a whole. On projects he often works as director, producer and client lead, and makes sure the work moves clearly from start to finish.
Valtteri combines a salesperson, a producer, a photographer and a hands-on doer. Before a shoot, he makes sure the client knows what we're doing and why. During production he keeps the direction clear, and after the shoot he ensures the result serves what we set out to achieve in the first place.
Behind it all is Combat Camera training, a commercial education, a sales background and a strong personal interest in the outdoor and national-defence side of things. His interest in filming started about ten years ago with action cameras, and it has grown into a way of seeing production as a whole: the client, the environment, the goal and how to get it all done in a relaxed but solid way.

Konsta's area is filming, editing and visual finishing. He makes sure the material looks the way it was agreed, and that the final result carries the feeling that editing is meant to bring out.
Konsta combines a cinematographer, an editor, a technical doer and a more administrative side. He knows the cameras, the gear and the various production gadgets so well that on a shoot day he's often the one who knows how the image is actually built. After the shoot, the same precision continues in editing, rhythm, colour and finishing.
Konsta also handles a lot of the behind-the-scenes work, such as bookkeeping and the website. Behind it all is over ten years of experience with cameras and editing software, Combat Camera training and a personal interest in the outdoor and national-defence side of things.

Alongside the partners, there's FraymFriends behind the scenes, our trusted community of makers. An agile core crew, but not every project needs the same set-up, so the team is always assembled per project.
FPV pilots, 3D artists, gaffers, sound technicians, make-up artists and actors come on board when the production calls for it. The team scales without quality or client experience suffering.

Around Fraymful there's a network of specialists that scales the team to fit the task.
When a project needs more hands or specialist skills, we grow the team with trusted people we've worked with before. To you, it shows as one team, under one lead.
Whether you need one clear shoot day or a larger production team, tell us what you want to bring in front of the camera. We'll build the right whole around it.
