PROJECT

FOUR HOURS TO SHOOT A SUPERCAR

A private client commissioned a photo and video shoot for their 2024 Lamborghini Huracán Evo. We spent one day in Wiernsheim, Germany. Four hours had to cover both the details shot at rest and the driving sequences shot in motion. The drone filmed from alongside the car at full speed.

The content went into the client’s own social library. We delivered short video clips, stills of the car’s design and drone material that shows the car in motion.

ABOUT THE CAR

The Lamborghini Huracán Evo is an Italian supercar with a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 producing 640 horsepower. Zero to a hundred takes 2.9 seconds and the top speed is over 325 km/h.

Production

How four hours came together.

The shoot was split in two. Part of the time went to the car's details at rest, the rest to driving sequences and drone chases in motion.

Challenge

The drone and the car had to hit the same moment.

01

Drone work at speed demanded precise coordination between the pilot and the camera operator, because the drone's speed, the camera angle and the car's position all have to land at the same instant. One flies, the other operates the camera.

Idea

A car standing still does not tell the whole story.

02

Detail shots taken at rest matter, but the car only fully opens up at speed. A drone is the only way to frame it properly in motion. We built the four hours around both, the car at rest and the car in motion.

Execution

Detail and motion separately.

03

We split the shoot into stationary detail work and dynamic motion sequences. In the stills we focused on the car's design, its surfaces, edges and the light on the body. Video and drone took care of the movement. We shot driving footage low alongside the car and chase sequences at speed, with a DJI Inspire 2 in a two-operator setup.
