Production trip
In February and March 2026 we spent two weeks in a camper van and filmed for five clients, from Kukkolankoski to the mountains of Skibotn.
The trip
The Nordic Arctic idea came about in summer 2025, once the Europe trip was behind us. We wanted to combine our own interest in Lapland, the mountains and winter, and make striking productions for clients who are drawn to the north.
We left Tampere on 21 February 2026, a crew of three in a Touring Cars camper van. The van was our base for the whole trip. It was where we charged everything that needed charging, serviced the gear, edited and ate.
Route
We filmed along the route from Tornio to the Norwegian mountains.
What we came home with
First we drove to Tornio and Kukkolankoski, then via Rovaniemi to Levi and Ylläs. From Ylläs we carried on to Kilpisjärvi and over the border to Skibotn, in the mountains of Northern Norway. We were back home in Tampere on 7 March.
At Ylläs we filmed a freeride video for Lumonite. We took an actor, a cinema camera package and an Inspire 2 drone up the fell. It became an impressive production. In Levi we spent two days filming Hotel Levi Panorama and Levi Summit for Kassiopeia, drone work included. In Kilpisjärvi the Canadian brand Baffin’s winter gear had two shoot days of its own. In Skibotn we filmed a hiking-style social video and photos in the mountains for the Norwegian Real Turmat.
Along the way we shot products in the landscape as a material bank for most of the clients. The trip was on social media the whole time, as we posted photos from different places and tagged the clients while we were still on the road.
Every one of the five clients now has a case. The trip went so well that we are heading north again in winter 2027.
