Industry: a guide to corporate video, photography and aerial photography

In industry, visual content is often the thing that decides the first impression. Not just for the customer, but also for the job seeker, the partner and the international buyer. A good industrial video shows the scale, the process and the trust. Good photos, in turn, make the same thing clear, tidy and credible.

We shoot a lot in Uusimaa and Pirkanmaa — Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere — but in industry, projects are often nationwide and sometimes reach across Europe. The same idea works everywhere: show that you’ve got it handled.

What an industrial video should actually show

A common mistake is to shoot only the machine and the hall. It looks tidy for a moment, but doesn’t yet tell anything. It’s better to build the whole like this:

  • Scale and environment — where you operate
  • Process — how the work actually progresses
  • People, know-how and safe working
  • Quality and details — what others don’t capture
  • The result — where all of this leads

When these are right, the video works both in sales and in recruitment, and the same material bends to many places.

Planning that makes the shoot day efficient

In industry, a shoot day is often tight. The schedule shifts, machines run, people have work in progress. That’s why planning is worth doing in a practical way:

  • Which stages of the process you want to see on camera
  • Which spaces and points are the most important
  • Which people appear in the shots, and when they’re available
  • What must not be visible — for example unfinished areas or confidential matters
  • What feeling you want — technical, dark, clean, fast-paced or calm

When this is agreed in advance, the shoot day proceeds without fuss.

What to shoot in industry if you want a content bank

If you want a lot of use from one or two shoot days, these are usually safe bets:

  • Wide overviews of the production and spaces
  • Workers in action, not posing
  • The key stages of the process as close-ups
  • The product or result, tidily finished
  • Quality assurance, measurement, precision
  • Portraits of key people, a natural but poised feel
  • Drone shots of the site and scale, when it fits
